marching Band

The Pride of Cardinal Country Marching Band is the largest co-curricular organization at TWHS and is active during the FALL sports season.

This award-winning band has qualified for the OMEA State Finals for well over a decade! It is comprised of band musicians who are enrolled in one of the above-listed curricular concert bands, Color Guard, and band managers. This is the most visible band in the high school during the fall season and represents TWHS with outstanding quality across the United States. Color Guard positions will be auditioned each Spring.

Each May, the band rehearses twice after school with 8th graders through seniors and performs in the Worthington Memorial Day Parade. Summer Rehearsals begin in August after Summer School ends, and the marching season concludes in early November.

After-school rehearsals run from 3:30-6:00 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The band performs at 10 football games, a couple of parades, a couple of OMEA competition weekends, and the OMEA State Finals.
